How can one Toonie support a child in your community?  It’s simple!  Starting February 4, you can take the Toonie challenge.  When you donate a toonie at a local participating grocery store, you help fill a hungry tummy.

100% of donations made in Brantford and Brant will stay in Brantford and Brant to support student nutrition programs funded by Brant Food For Thought.

Last year, you helped raised $ 13,825 in support of local programs.  Thank you!

Particpating grocery stores and campaign dates in Brantford and Brant are as follows:

February 4 – 18:  Metro and Food Basics locations

February 11 – 25:  Sobeys and Foodland locations

Toonies raised locally are converted to grocery gift cards and distributed to school-based student nutrition programs within close proximity to the grocery store locations.

Although program operations have been modified due to COVID, Brant Food For Thought continues to support children and youth with healthy food options through direct contact with school Principals, school board virtual learning academies and in partnership with local food banks and neighbourhood resource centers.

Every toonie counts, because just one toonie  =  one healthy breakfast for a student in your community.
