Brant Food For Thought developed three initiatives to support existing universal student nutrition programs in accessing the most nutritious foods possible, such as whole fruits and vegetables and white milk.  The initiatives are:  School Fresh Produce Box, White Milk Program and the Fresh Apples Programs.  These healthy foods are delivered directly to a school to support student nutrition at no charge to the program.    The initiatives work together to help build volunteer capacity in a student nutrition program where shopping for large volumes of produce and milk is a challenge.

The final data is in and we would like to thank the following donors and sponsors for their contributions to this worthwhile project:  Aberdeen Community Health Services, Brant County Health Unit, Brantford Volkswagen, City of Brantford, County of Brant, FirstOntario Credit Union, Grocery Foundation, Losani Family Foundation through the Hamilton Community Foundation, The Roger and Edith Davis Foundation and the Stephen Smith & Dorothy Woltz Foundation.
