Investors Group raises the bar this year with Platinum Title Sponsorship of Breakfast For Champions 2015, an annual charity breakfast gala in support of Brant Food For Thought and local student nutrition programs.
Glenn Gaudet, Senior Financial Consultant, and now Division Director, is a long-standing supporter of our cause.
“We have supported Brant Food For Thought for over a decade because of the important role they play in helping to grow our future leaders”, says Gaudet. “Children need to be properly fueled in order to have the energy and focus needed to learn. The fact that Brant Food For Thought helps children at all social levels without stigmatizing individuals adds to the importance of the work they do. We decided to increase our sponsorship level to help sustain this very important community partner.”
Kevin Reid, Regional Director for the Brantford/Cambridge Region, attended Breakfast For Champions last year for the first time.
“As a parent, I know how important it is for my children to have proper nourishment when they go to school”, say Reid. This compelled Kevin to work together with Glenn to increase their sponsorship.
Investors Group has a long history with our organization. They truly exemplify the term “corporate social responsibility”.
Glenn volunteered his time at school nutrition programs for 4 years, prior to becoming involved with Brant Food For Thought as a Board member in September of 2004. He served as President from 2008 to 2010, providing great leadership and bringing a fresh perspective to the Board table. Over the years, financial and in-kind contributions from Investors Group have supported many facets of the Brant Food For Thought work. From purchasing food, tables and chairs to promotional items and aprons for the programs and investing in volunteer recognition, training and support, their contributions have been remarkable.
“It is partnerships like this one with Investors Group that help with program operations and sustainability”, says Program Coordinator, Gisèle Budgell. “This great partnership continues to make a tremendous difference in the quality of lives for many children and youth in our community. Investors Group helps us fulfill our mission of contributing to a child’s ability to learn by alleviating in-school hunger and improving the health outcomes of school students in Brantford, Brant and Six Nations of the Grand.”
