Pictured above (L to R): Brant Food For Thought Board President, Sherron Birkett, receives $20,000 grant from Lynn Hewitt, Aberdeen Foundation President, along with Gisèle Budgell, Brant Food For Thought Program Director, and Aberdeen Executive Director, Anna Angold.
As the Foundation was winding down their operations, they wanted to leave a lasting legacy in its final round of grants. The community grants helped to benefit many non-profit organizations.
The $20,000 grant to Brant Food For Thought will be used to support the School Fresh Produce Box, White Milk Program and Fresh Apples initiatives, as part of universal student nutrition programs in Brantford and Brant schools. We wish to thank Aberdeen Health and Community Services Foundation for this generous grant and for sharing in our vision. For many years, the foundation has supported their communities and their clients to live better, eat better and stay healthier.
